Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), May 13: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday announced the results of the Class X examinations for all streams, reporting an overall pass percentage of 93.66%. This marks a marginal improvement of 0.06% over the previous year, reflecting stable academic performance across the country.
According to official data released by CBSE, a total of 23,71,939 students appeared for the examination this year, out of which 22,21,636 students successfully passed. Girls once again outshone boys, continuing a consistent trend over the past few years. While the pass percentage among girls stood at an impressive 95.00%, boys registered a pass percentage of 92.63%.
In terms of regional performance, Trivandrum and Vijayawada emerged as the top-performing zones, each recording a remarkable 99.79% pass rate. Bengaluru followed with 98.90%, while Chennai stood at 98.71%. Bhubaneswar also performed well, securing a place among the top 12 regions with a pass rate of 92.64%.
A notable improvement was observed in the performance of transgender students, whose pass percentage rose to 95.00%, up by 3.7% from last year, indicating greater inclusivity and academic support.
