GRADUATION CEREMONY HELD FOR STUDENTS OF SOA FACULTY OF LEGAL STUDIES

Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen): Students of the SOA National Institute of Law (SNIL), faculty of legal studies of the SOA Deemed to be University here, who had completed their study, were presented degrees at a graduation ceremony organised in the university campus on Wednesday.

Students of the 2021-26 batch of BALLB (Hons) and BBALLB (Hons), 2023-26 batch LLB (Hons) and 2025-26 batch LLM courses were presented degrees in the ceremony which was attended by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda as the chief guest.

Addressing the students on the occasion, Prof. Nanda said that they had the opportunity to study in an institute which was ranked 10 th in the country among law schools and a university which was ranked 15 th in the country by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2025. He said he hoped that the students would do their best to keep SOA’s flag flying high.

“Your behavior and performance in your field of work will establish the name of your alma mater,” he told the students. Prof. Nanda said the world was undergoing many changes while the advent of AI had been impacting all areas of life. The students should use technology to make themselves more efficient, he said adding as practitioners of the legal profession they should endeavour to become the voice of the underprivileged to uphold justice in the society.

The program was also addressed by Prof. S.A.K. Azad, Dean of SNIL, and Prof. Prabir Patnaik, senior professor. Prof. Anup Kumar Samantaray, Pro-Vice Chancellor of SOA, Prof. Manjula Das, Controller of Examination, Prof. Madhusudan Das, senior professor and Prof. Jyoti Ranjan Das, Dean (Students’ Welfare) were present.
