Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Nov 30: Odisha is set to experience light rainfall due to the influence of Cyclone Fengal, which is expected to make landfall near Puducherry on Saturday evening with wind speeds of 70-80 kmph, gusting up to 90 kmph. While the cyclone will not directly impact Odisha, rain is likely to continue in the state until December 3 due to moisture incursion, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

A yellow warning has been issued for Gajapati, Ganjam, Koraput, Malkangiri, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj, predicting light rain spells through the afternoon. Light rainfall is also expected in districts like Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Balangir, Nuapada, and Kalahandi over the next few days.

The IMD stated there would be no significant change in minimum temperatures across Odisha during this period. At 8:30 a.m., Cyclone Fengal was located about 120 km east-northeast of Puducherry and is expected to cross between Karaikal and Mahabalipuram close to Puducherry by evening.
