odisha news: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Jan 27: Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja has been assigned the additional charge of Chief Resident Commissioner of Odisha in New Delhi. A 1990-batch IAS officer, Ahuja’s tenure was extended for one year from January 1, 2025. In addition to his new role, he has been serving as the Working Chairman of the Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee since August 13, 2024.
A notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department on January 24 confirmed that Ahuja will continue in his additional responsibilities. The notification stated, “Manoj Ahuja, Chief Secretary, Odisha, with the additional charge of Working Chairman, Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee, Puri, is allowed to remain in the additional charge of Chief Resident Commissioner, Government of Odisha, New Delhi.”
In August 2024, Vishal Gagan, the Special Secretary in the Industries Department, was appointed as the Principal Resident Commissioner of Odisha at New Delhi after the transfer of Ravi Kant. Kant, a 1998-batch IAS officer, was the first to hold the position at Odisha Bhawan.
