Odisha news: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), April 19: Around 1.7 lakh women beneficiaries in Odisha are set to receive financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana on April 24, coinciding with Panchayati Raj Divas celebrations in Puri. This announcement was made by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Saturday.

According to Parida, the eligible recipients—who applied for the scheme by the March 31 deadline—will receive the aid in two instalments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). This marks the sixth phase of disbursement under the scheme.

She also informed that women who have not yet received their benefits or have received only one instalment can contact the government’s toll-free helpline to register their grievances. Verified claimants will be included in subsequent phases of the scheme.

The Subhadra Yojana reflects the state government’s commitment to strengthening women’s financial empowerment and promoting self-reliance among women across Odisha.
