odisha news: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Nov 15: Maitree Vihar police in Bhubaneswar have rescued two children who were subjected to horrific abuse, being branded with hot kitchen pincers for three days as punishment for opposing their mother’s extramarital relationship.

The incident took place in the Mahavir slum of Chandrasekharpur, where the woman and her paramour have been detained by the police.

According to sources, the children—one girl and two boys—were locked inside a room for three days by their mother and her lover, Gudu Nayak. The couple allegedly used a hot kitchen pincer to brand the children as a form of punishment for protesting against their relationship.

Gudu Nayak, the woman’s lover, was arrested on Thursday night after a series of raids. During interrogation, he reportedly confessed to the abuse. The couple had been involved in an illicit relationship for about seven months. The police are continuing their investigation into the case, while the children have been provided with medical care and protection.
