Bank loot: Lakh-Rupee Theft from Bank after Window Grill Cut

Bank loot: Bhubaneswar (Reporterspen), Nov. 11: Thieves broke into the bank by cutting the window grill and allegedly stole lakhs of rupees. This incident took place at the Odisha Grameen Bank located at Khaparapada Square under Baliapal police station in Balasore district.

Late last night, the thieves used a gas cutter to cut through the window grill and entered the bank. They then sprayed black powder to avoid leaving any clues. This morning, locals noticed the broken window and informed the bank manager and the police. Upon receiving the information, the Baliapal police arrived at the scene and have started an investigation. However, the exact amount stolen has not yet been determined.

It is noteworthy that a similar theft occurred at this bank five years ago. Due to repeated thefts, there are growing demands for stricter police patrolling in the area.
