odisha news: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Jan 11: The Annual Flower Show 2025 at the Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC) in Ekamra Kanan, Bhubaneswar, has been extended by one day due to the overwhelming enthusiasm from visitors. This announcement was made by Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Minister Ganesh Ram Singhkhuntia on Saturday.

Initially set to conclude on January 11, the exhibition will now continue until January 12. Minister Singhkhuntia noted that the decision to extend the show reflects the public’s eagerness to explore the floral displays.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on January 7 and is jointly organized by the RPRC and the Plant Lovers’ Association. Featuring 70 stalls from various agencies across the state, the exhibition showcases around 500 varieties of flowers, including roses, marigolds, dahlias, zinnias, and ferns.

In addition to cut flowers, visitors can admire bonsai, orchids, and themed gardens. Cultural performances, such as Odissi, Chhau, Sambalpuri, and Paika dances, have enriched the event. A new gate complex, a vibrant garden, and a cactus house were also inaugurated, enhancing the overall experience for attendees.
