Chandigarh: India will look to complete a 3-0 clean sweep against the West Indies when the two teams meet in the third and final ODI of the three-match series at the New Chandigarh International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

India have already sealed the series by winning the opening two matches and will be keen to maintain their dominance. The West Indies, meanwhile, will look to win the final game and end the tour on a positive note.

India’s dominance in ODI cricket against the West Indies is reflected in their record of winning 14 consecutive bilateral ODI series against the Caribbean side. The West Indies have also struggled to beat India on Indian soil in recent years. Their last ODI victory in India came in 2019 in Chennai, after which India have maintained their strong record at home.

Focus on Gill, Rohit and Virat

The spotlight in the third ODI will once again be on India’s mix of youth and experience. Captain Shubman Gill, along with senior batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, will be key players for the hosts.

Gill has impressed with both his captaincy and batting, while the experience of Rohit and Virat remains an important strength for the Indian side. The three batters will be expected to make significant contributions in the final match of the series.
