Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Sept 26: Konark Sun Temple: With heavy rains causing significant disruptions across Odisha, visitors at the renowned Konark Sun Temple faced considerable challenges due to severe waterlogging at the heritage site. Tourists were seen navigating through knee-deep water as the entrance to the Sun Temple became completely submerged amid the relentless downpour.

The temple premises were inundated, leading to substantial inconvenience for visitors. The main road leading to the temple and its surrounding areas were also flooded, with reports of some tourists sustaining injuries while attempting to wade through the deep water at this iconic site.

In response to the situation, authorities have installed pumps to drain water from the temple grounds, aiming to improve conditions for visitors.

Unfortunately, waterlogging at the Konark Sun Temple is a recurring issue; even a brief rainfall can trigger flooding. Despite this ongoing problem, the authorities have yet to implement a permanent solution, leaving both domestic and international tourists facing inconveniences during rainy weather.
