Odisha District Judge Exam 2024: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Feb 24: Not a single candidate managed to clear the Competitive Examination-2024 for 45 district judge posts, failing to qualify for the interview round.
The Orissa High Court had invited applications for 31 posts from advocates with at least seven years of practice and 14 posts from judicial officers with a minimum of five years of experience as civil judges (senior division). Applicants had to be between 35 and 45 years old.
A total of 283 advocates and 83 judicial officers were eligible for the written test held on January 5, 2025. However, a notification issued by the High Court Registrar (Examination) on February 17 confirmed that no candidate from either category qualified for the interview.
Candidates in the advocate category had to attempt three papers of 100 marks each, while judicial officers faced two papers of 75 marks each. The qualifying criteria required a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and at least 45% in each paper.
As per results uploaded on the High Court website, 180 of the 283 eligible advocates appeared for the exam. However, only 10 candidates scored above 30 marks in Paper I, 9 in Paper II, and 48 in the General English paper.
