cyclone: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Oct 23: The Nandankanan Zoological Park and State Botanical Garden will be closed to the public for two days, specifically on October 24 and 25, 2024, in anticipation of the severe cyclonic storm Dana expected to impact the region. This precautionary measure aims to ensure the safety of both visitors and the animals housed within the park and garden.
In an official notification released by the Deputy Director of Nandankanan Zoological Park, it was stated, “In view of the impending cyclonic storm ‘Dana’ over the Bay of Bengal, the Nandankanan Zoological Park and State Botanical Garden shall remain closed for visitors on 24.10.2024 & 25.10.2024.”
During this closure, the park authorities will focus on safeguarding the wildlife and preparing for potential disruptions caused by the cyclone. Visitors are advised to stay updated on the situation and check the park’s official communication channels for information regarding its reopening after the storm passes.
