Student Death: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Nov 13: A Class X student was found dead in the hostel of Kalinga Adarsh Residential School in Khajuripada, Odisha’s Kandhamal district, on Wednesday. The deceased, identified as Anandeshwar Mallik from Balisugri village, was discovered hanging in the hostel’s toilet. Other students noticed the body and immediately informed the hostel authorities, who alerted the police.
Upon receiving the information, a police team rushed to the school hostel, where they made arrangements to send the body for an autopsy. Investigations into the incident are currently underway.
The deceased’s brother has raised concerns, alleging that school teachers had recently scolded Anandeshwar and even suggested that he transfer to another school. The family has expressed suspicion over the circumstances of the death, holding the hostel authorities accountable and demanding a thorough investigation. They believe the incident might be linked to recent tensions and are seeking justice for Anandeshwar. The authorities have yet to confirm the exact cause of death.
