Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), July 1: President Droupadi Murmu is set to embark on a two-day official visit to Odisha beginning July 14, during which she will attend several significant events in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. The visit holds special importance as she returns to her home state in her capacity as the country’s highest constitutional authority.
On July 14, the President will attend the convocation ceremony of AIIMS Bhubaneswar as the chief guest. Her presence will mark a momentous occasion for the graduating medical students, who will receive their degrees in the esteemed company of the President, adding pride and prestige to the event.
On the second day of her visit, July 15, President Murmu will travel to Cuttack to participate in the convocation ceremony of Ravenshaw University, one of Odisha’s most historic and prestigious institutions. She will also lay the foundation stone for the new Ravenshaw Girls’ High School, reaffirming her commitment to women’s education.
Additionally, the President will pay floral tribute to literary legend Adikabi Sarala Das by garlanding his statue. She is also expected to grace the Kalinga Ratna Puraskar 2024 event. Final details of her itinerary are awaited.
